Smashed window is the latest attack

Young yobs have broken the window of Purplehaze’s Parlour on Bath Street.
It is the latest in a series of attacks on the Ilkeston gift shop.
Proprietors Steph and De Patterson say they have been targeted for a while. It began with offensive shouting by passing school boys and progressed to damage to the shop front.
Fortunately, clear images of the perpetrators appeared on their security cameras and has led to their identification.
Ilkeston’s high street is doing its best to win back customers with new start-ups adding to the variety of shops on offer.
Purplehaze’s Parlour has been at no.5 Bath Street for 3 years and calls itself ‘the home of the unusual’. It offers items which are different, attractive and keenly priced.
Steph and De are appreciative of the support shown to them by the local community.
“Members of the public have assisted in the identification of most of the boys involved and have also brought to light additional instances of criminal activities attributed to them.”
