Happy 100th birthday to Olive Pressland.

Olive lives in Stanley Village. She was born and raised in Little Eaton. She had a twin sister who sadly passed away a few days after birth, another sister and two brothers, all now sadly no longer with us.
Olive worked at Little Eaton Paper Mill where she met Laurence, whom she married at Little Eaton before moving to Stanley Village where they raised four children.
Olive is very much loved by all her friends who visit her when possible. Her daughter Dee is her main carer keeping Olive going and making it possible for her to remain in her home.
Friends and neighbours agree that it is wonderful that Olive has reached her centenary year. She has received a card from the Queen, and plans are being made to celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee in the village with Olive being the star guest.
