Archer and Gracie’s hill climb for Ben’s Den

An Ilkeston brother and sister are preparing to climb a high hill to raise funds for Ben’s Den.
Archer (9) and Gracie (5) will attempt to get to the top of Mam Tor, near Castleton in the High Peak area of Derbyshire next Wednesday 21st February.
Archer attends Chaucer Junior School (year 4) and Gracie goes to Chaucer Infant School (year one).
Their parents, Hayley Shelton and Nathan Hill, have set up a JustGiving page for anyone who would like to support them and they will be sharing videos and pictures of the adventure.
Ben’s Den is a local charity set up in memory of Ben Parker who sadly passed away aged 13 in 2003 following a battle with leukaemia.
The aim of the charity is to support the families of children fighting leukaemia or cancer by gifting them a free caravan holiday and allowing them to spend much needed quality family time together away from the overwhelming hospital environment.
Tracey Parker of the charity said: “It’s such a lovely thing for them to do.”
