This is a ‘call out’ opportunity for three local am.dram actors to perform three ten-minute-ish interlinked monologues at Erewash Museum in a relaxed performance as part of the closing event/celebrations of ‘www.unexaminedlives.com‘ a three year local history Heritage Lottery project.
The monologues will explore the lives of three women whose lives were researched as part of the play ‘Number 17 – 100 year history of a Borrowash House’. (http://unexaminedlives.org/category/blogs/17-princess-drive/)
All three women lived in ‘No.17’ in three very different periods of history.
Mrs. Mary Emma Owen, whose son and husband both enlisted in the 1st World War and both miraculously came home.
Mrs. Sarah Anne Webster, whose son enlisted in the 2nd World War and was killed. (A grandson of this characterful lady still lives locally).
Mrs. Christine Hall (the writer!) who lived in the house and ‘modernised’ it in the ‘swinging 60’s.
Sarah Anne Webster aged probably 40/50’s-ish
Mary Emma Owen perhaps slightly younger
Christine Hall perhaps early 20’s-ish
