Another win for Ilkeston

Ilkeston continued their build-up to the new football season with another friendly win.
Another good following went with them to the Hinckley Leicester Road ground.
Ilkeston nearly scored from the kick-off but they did go in front after 11 minutes when Montel Gibson scored.
Hinckley had a big chance to level not long after that, but keeper Bukowski guessed right and made a brilliant save from the spot kick.
Gibson, Ward and O’Grady then went close for Ilkeston but it remained 1-0 at half-time.
Hinckley improved in the second half but were unable to find a way through Ilkeston’s defence.
Ilkeston’s attacks too had no end product.
It ended with another win though, even though it was not a stellar performance by the Robins.
