Isn’t this the most remarkable show of kindness by a football club. Ilkeston Town FC made a fan’s day by letting him take a penalty at the end of a friendly match. Brandon, a supporter with a disability, scored with the spot kick – and a video of the goal has gone viral on social media. AND… we understand BBC East Midlands Today news programme are planning to show it.
The match was between Ilkeston Legends (past players of the club) and Current Supporters and took place at the weekend.
