Fay Stainsby, community champion of Morrisons Ilkeston and the Ilkeston branch of the Royal British Legion have been working together.
Latest project was raising money for Rainbows Hospice. A number of RBL volunteers helped with the instore collection and others were ‘on standby’.
Paul Scott of the RBL said: “Fay has a hat in both camps. This relationship works well for us. We have been on the lookout for veterans who have been struggling with loneliness. Fay, when working with local charities and organisations, picks up leads and passes them on to the Legion.”
