Henry the first

Henry, who has just moved from the Squirrels to the Beavers, is the first in his group to achieve a Chief Scout Acorn Badge.
He had to participate and excel in a number of activities in order to gain the award, which he received from Derbyshire County Commissioner Sue at the 1st Sitwell scout hut in Horsley Woodhouse.
Squirrel leader Sandy said everyone was thrilled with Henry’s achievement.
The Squirrel section is for four to six-year-olds and has only been going at Sitwell for just over a year.
Group trustee Ian Britton paid tribute to the grown-ups who give their time and energy to make scouting at various levels happen locally, adding that help is always needed and appreciated.
Henry is pictured with Sue and Sandy on the day of his presentation. He is now looking forward to more adventures and successes in the Beavers.
