Events in Horsely Woodhouse

I wondered if you would be so gracious as to promote a couple of events in Horsley Woodhouse for next weekend, please. The Horsley Woodhouse Community Association (HWCA) is a volunteer group who put on several events throughout the year including litter picking, supporting the recent Jubilee and Coronation events with our main activity being a live music night and carnival with parade each year.
The Battle of Britain Spitfire is also due to come to the Horsley Woodhouse 45th Carnival this year on Saturday 15th July at 14.46, just after its visit to Ripley. Totally unplanned, as the schedule was produced ahead of the flypast notification, but we have the Red Barrows (wheelbarrow ‘flying’ display team) performing their display as the flypast comes over.

When: Saturday 15th July 12.00 – 17.00

Where: Sitwell Recreation Ground, Merlin Lane, Horsley Woodhouse, DE7 6PZ. Carparking free:

What: Village carnival offering a fun day for all the family. A traditional carnival with a modern twist, with a main arena of events supported by craft and community stalls.

Join us at 12.00 at the Arthur Medical Centre to watch the parade travel down Main Street to the Sitwell Recreation Ground where the carnival will be opened by Jo & Sparky from Gem Radio.
