Life-size crocheted soldier is back

Jilly Crofts’ crocheted soldier that won many admirers standing outside in Stanley Common churchyard at Remembrance time is to be unveiled at Erewash Museum.
It will be the centrepiece of an exhibition called Yarns of Valour, a display highlighting the stories of service people and civilians involved in conflicts around the world.
The exhibition, to be attended by the mayor, councillor Frank Phillips, will open on Saturday 2nd March
