Trip to Garden Centre via Memory Lane

Oliver House Nursing Home residents have taken another journey down Memory Lane.
Their latest bus ride around familiar roads ended up at Trowell Garden Centre where they were able to join with others shopping and enjoying the ‘Christmas is coming’ atmosphere.
Bus rides are always a pleasure for the residents, who love recognising old familiar sights and sounds and waving to people ‘Queen-style’.
The chat provided by Erewash Transport driver Darrren is a source of fun and reassurance, as some of the passengers require special help to get on board.
Trips like this organised by Julie Lister and team contribute to the home getting a ‘Good’ rating from the Quality Care Commission.
