Spooky stories, devilish family fun, creepy capers and zany Zombies . . . Erewash Borough Council is sending out a cobweb-draped invitation to join in the fun at its Halloween Ghostly Gathering on Saturday 31 October.
The light-hearted event will take place in and around Ilkeston Town Hall between 12.30pm.-3.30pm and is part of the council’s on-going town centre regeneration programme to encourage more people into the centre.
As well as zombie characters, story sessions and stilt walkers, the afternoon will also include craft sessions, a free face painter and Ghost Walks with a route around the Town Hall and the town centre. Adding atmosphere to the event will be a ‘spirited’ performance by a group of singers, who will entertain shoppers outside the Town Hall with some ghostly songs.
Councillor Mike Wallis, Erewash Borough Council’s Lead Member for Culture and Leisure, says:
“This will be a ghoulishly good day, so join us for a Halloween afternoon of family fun . . . you will be ‘howling’ with laughter!”
