Frank’s gift to the town he loved

An Ilkeston man who died last September wanted to help the doctors at Ilkeston Health Centre who had helped him.
So instead of requesting flowers at his funeral he asked people to give a donation to the health centre.
Frank’s wife, Alison, said he wanted to give something back to the surgery after they helped him during his eight year battle against prostate cancer.
She said: “They were always there for him at the slightest hint of a problem. He had a great relationship with everyone at Dr Purnell’s.
