Erewash Museum is running a series of activities for Children’s Art Week from 13th to 16th June.
On Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, children can create a postcard sized mini masterpiece which will be on display in the museum all week!
There will also be a permanent Mini Masterpiece frame wall where your little ones can create a work of art and install it in an ornate gallery frame for visitors to see.
Led by Engage, the National Association for Gallery Education, Children’s Art Week is a growing campaign to encourage children’s creativity. Organisations will be holding events, across galleries, arts centres, museums, libraries, schools, and community or youth centres.
Erewash Museum is in Ilkeston town centre, a short walk from the Market Place. Opening hours are Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10am-4pm, Monday to Saturday during school holidays, and closed on bank holidays. Admission is free.
