Residents can win a £25 gift voucher by saying how they would like to see their Erewash neighbourhood transformed – ahead of a hotly-anticipated £20million of Pride in Place funding being spent there.
Local people in Cotmanhay are being urged to take part in a quick online survey that asks what matters most to them, what challenges they face and what their vision for the area’s future is.
The questions take only a minute or two to answer – and respondents can opt to go into a draw to win a £25 Love2shop voucher by logging on here: https://www.smartsurvey.co.uk/
The consultation is the first stage of community engagement after Cotmanhay was identified by the Government as ripe for regeneration under its Pride in Place initiative – meaning up to £2million a year will pour in over the next decade. Your ideas will directly feed into decisions about how the money will be spent in the area.
The board will also join community events across the borough to hear from residents directly. They have previously attended the Wellbeing Day at Cotmanhay Community Network and the Teddy Bears Picnic at Erewash Museum to talk about the programme. Residents can make a request for the Board to visit an event or group in Cotmanhay at [email protected].
The survey is also being shared at local libraries, at the Ilkeston Community Hospital, the pharmacy and Jilly’s café for those who may not be able to respond online. You might also spot a link to the survey on beer mats at the local pubs.
Once the survey results have been analysed, there will be an open call for project ideas in early September related to the themes that are identified.
