Erewash Borough Council’s new Village Investment Fund is set to support improvements and special projects for local parishes via the Erewash Investment Fund.
A total of £180k will be allocated across all Parish Councils in Erewash, allowing each one to access the funding, enabling improvements for each area.
A further £180k will also be available for Parish Councils to submit applications for special projects that would benefit their parish.
In the spirit of the project, the council reached out to the Parish Councils to discuss the best approach to support them and their residents.
Councillor Becca Everett, Portfolio Holder for Community Engagement said: “This funding could really make an impact on a local level. Different areas may have different needs, and we want to encourage tailored improvements to everyday life for our residents across the borough. We look forward to seeing how this funding will be used to lift-up our vibrant and sustainable communities.”
