In 2025 Your Local Air Ambulance charity flew almost 1,000 missions in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire, providing care from the air to those who need help in the fastest time possible.

The charity receives no NHS funding and is reliant on donations from the public and its network of retails outlets to fund every mission. On Friday 9 January 2026 it will open its latest store in Long Eaton – a town which lies just a few miles between Nottingham and Derby and the communities that can rely on its air ambulance crews.

The new store will be located on the historic High Street which is due to receive a £10m revamp beginning in the Spring of 2026. Erewash Borough Council have said this investment will give the town a “vibrant new look”.

Retail Area Manager Lee Corkill from Your Local Air Ambulance said: “Long Eaton is a town with a fascinating past and an exciting future. As a charity we are delighted to open the latest of our shops in the heart of the community and are looking forward to meeting people who support us or are just out looking for a bargain or a hidden treasure on the High Street.”

Every day of the year, Your Local Air Ambulance’s critical care paramedics and trauma doctors deliver lifesaving care within minutes to those in greatest need and provide the very best chance of survival and recovery. Entirely funded by donations from the public, the charity carries out missions throughout Derbyshire Leicestershire, Rutland, Northamptonshire and Warwickshire.
