You are invited to join the Mayor of Erewash at St. Mary’s Church in Ilkeston for their Christmas Eve Carol Service.
Taking place at 7pm on 24 December, the church will bring people together to sing from the same hymn sheet, accompanied by the Salvation Army Band.
The Mayor of Erewash, Councillor Harry Atkinson, said: “I look forward to joining the congregation in celebrating Christmas. All are welcome to attend, and I’d love to see you there to celebrate together as a community. That togetherness is really the spirit of Christmas, so don’t hesitate to come along and enjoy some songs!”
The Parish Church of St Mary’s stands proudly in the centre of Ilkeston’s marketplace and has been on its present site since the mid 12th century.
