Is that the sound of jolly laughter? The sight of a red and white suit? Father Christmas is making a special stop at Erewash Museum with his bag full of gifts!
Snuggle in as Father Christmas shares a heart-warming festive story in our warm and magical reading corner, just for you. Look forward to singing along with cheerful Christmas songs and making a decoration to take home as a memento of this wonderful experience.
Councillor Becca Everett, who is Lead Member for Community Engagement at Erewash Borough Council said: “I always look forward to this time of year – it’s a lovely occasion where we’re encouraged to get together as a community. I also greatly appreciate the chance it gives us to get involved with cultural activities in local spaces like our marvellous Erewash Museum.”
Sessions are available on 6, 13 and 20 December at 10am, 11am, 12pm, 1.30pm and 2.30pm. Spaces are £7 per child with 2 accompanying adults. An offer is available if you are bringing multiple children. Booking is essential, so make sure to reserve your place online.
Please note, Erewash Museum will then be closed from 21 December 2025 until 8 January 2026.
Erewash Museum welcomes some 20,000 people a year. It is normally open from 11am to 4pm on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays – and is free to visit. Refreshments are available at Dalby House Café which recently launched its Winter Specials Menu.
