A fund raiser for 1st Sitwell Scouts takes place on 1st November.
Group Lead Volunteer Ian Britton is asking youngsters from all sections and their parents to support their annual bonfire and fireworks event.
It takes place on Saturday 1st November 2025.
Ian says: “The funds raised by the events we do each year allow us to update and maintain the Hut and help towards new equipment such as tents. And in turn it helps us keep the Subs for Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, and Explorers, as low as possible. Our goals are to make the group open to all and as affordable as possible, too.
“As we all know, the cost of everything, including running any event, is going up quickly at the moment. So, this year there will be 50 pence increase in tickets:
“Advance tickets at £2.50 and £3 at the gate. Under 14s are still free with a paying adult.
“We are hiring a large marquee again to help keep people dry, and by popular demand, we are bringing back a live band.
“We hope to see you all at our great event on the 1st November from 6:30pm.”
It takes place on Sitwell Recreation Ground, Merlin Way, Horsley Woodhouse and there will be live music, games, burgers, hot dogs, hot peas, popcorn, and drinks.
