The 21st Ilkeston (Kirk Hallam) Cub Pack held a special Open Night and Awards Evening to give parents the opportunity to see what the cubs do on a Monday night!
Three older cubs were running the evening to complete their Silver Chief Scout Awards.
Activities included a roman numeral treasure hunt, drawing tips and a game with Lego dinosaurs.
At the end of the evening Akela (Diane Harris) invested three new cubs: Oliver Breward, Jayden Foxton-Musty and Elijah Bentley-Watson and awarded various activity badges: Pioneer, Hikes, My Faith, Fire and Personal Safety.
But the stars of the evening were Charlie Smith, Connie Stevenson and Lola Morrell who won Silver Chief Scout Awards.
Akela told them: “Well done to you all. This is a fantastic achievement. Wear your badges with pride. These awards are the best you can achieve in the Cub section, they are well deserved and we are thrilled to be able to present them.
“A huge well done to all the Cubs who gained a badge. Thanks, must also go to the Leader Team – without their dedication and hard work these events would not happen.”
