A charity event is being held at Ilkeston Rugby Club on Sunday September 22nd. It is in memory of a local footballer Maddy Cusack who sadly passed away in 2023.
It will have live music by Rocks and Frocks, fairground attractions, a food festival, a dog show, bouncy castle and a great prize draw.
Held at the Stute, home of Ilkeston Rugby Club, the fund-raiser will be in support of the Maddy Cusack Foundation which was set up to continue the midfielder’s legacy “by supporting and making a difference within the world of women’s football”.
A big part of the day will be occupied by the Companion Dog Show for all types of dogs. Owners will be able to enter their pooch in any of twelve categories, including any-variety puppy, sporting, pedigree, best looking, best veteran and waggiest tail. There’s also a class for the best junior handler.
A prize draw gives the opportunity to win a holiday in Padstow and many other prizes.
Entry to the event is free and it all starts at 12 midday.
