Drunken behaviour at town pub was shown on Faceboook

Unpleasant scenes at an Ilkeston pub have led to its licence being revoked.

Disorder at the Three Horse Shoes on Derby Road was filmed and posted on Facebook – and seen by thousands of people.

The pub has been stripped of its licence after its landlady punched a police officer in the face and assaulted her own staff.

The pub just off White Lion Square has had its licence revoked by Erewash Borough Council who took the action following a licensing hearing last week.

A police officer told how, rather than try and calm the situation, the majority of customers stood back and one even shouted ‘Round two!’ The video led to numerous social media comments being made.

The pub was said to have a good reputation and was usually very busy. The episode was described as an isolated incident.
