Dr Adam Thompson has been elected Member of Parliament for Erewash as Labour heads for a big majority in the General Election.
It was a bruising night for the Conservatives generally with the incoming results confirming their worst fears of a wipeout.
Although the Reform UK candidate in Erewash had withdrawn, he still managed to get the third highest number of votes.
