One of the best-loved writers in our newspaper over the years has been Betty O’Neill, with her pictures and stories of growing up in Ilkeston.
Now the former Hallcroft art teacher has produced a book called Love, Laughter and Tears, which is sure to be popular.
It has 264 pages and can be bought for £19.99 from our office at the U Choose cafe, 1 Bath Street.
It’s described in the blurb as “a heartfelt journey from her idyllic childhood at Station Road to the trials and triumphs of growing up….. The stories will touch your heart and evoke your own cherished memories.” But if you’ve been a reader of her stories through the years, you’ll already know that.
