Kirk Hallam Community Academy congratulates all Year 11 pupils on their GCSE results
Kirk Hallam Community Academy, part of Nova Education Trust, offers huge congratulations to all Year 11 pupils on their GCSE results and for their hard work and determination in the run-up to the exams.
With the pandemic disrupting a signification portion of their secondary education, undertaking lessons remotely throughout national lockdowns and beginning their Key Stage 4 studies in COVID’s immediate aftermath, the class of 2023 have today received the results of their efforts.
Chris Turner, Head Teacher, said: “We are incredibly proud of our year 11 students who have worked tirelessly to achieve such positive results. Having experienced such disruption to their secondary education, students have displayed professionalism, determination and resilience whilst undertaking their GCSEs.
“We look forward to welcoming many of our students to our sixth form in September and wish everyone well in their chosen next steps.”
Sandy Paley, Executive Head Teacher, said: “We’re delighted to see so many of our pupils secure the grades they need to move onto their preferred destinations.
“This, against a backdrop of continued disruption to learning and the removal of last year’s ‘safety net’ for pupils makes these achievements even more remarkable and are testament to their hard work and unrelenting commitment to secure the success we’ve seen today.”
Ash Rahman, CEO of Nova Education Trust, added: “Our young people have shown immense tenacity, resilience and have worked extremely hard to achieve their GCSE results, regardless of the more challenging grade boundaries and despite the significant disruption to their secondary education. I am so proud of each and every one of them.
“Our teachers and operational staff worked tirelessly to provide the best possible guidance and experiences for our pupils throughout the COVID period and beyond, and I would like to say a sincere thank you to all of them for their efforts.
“This is an exciting time for our young people as they make important choices for their futures and I would like to wish them every success in all their future endeavours.”
