Fun Dog Show
The Yappy Ever After Dog Rescue’s fun dog show is back on Saturday 19thAugust with all donations and proceeds going to support this Derbyshire based charity dedicated to saving and rehoming dogs from owners who can no longer cope.
In addition to the dog show which will include 8 judging categories (£4 per entry or 3 entries for £10 – register and pay on the day) from Waggiest Tail to Grumpiest face!, there will be Ella’s Pups Parade at 12 noon to celebrate the miracle rescue mission of heavily pregnant Ella who also had a life-threatening paw infection. She gave birth to ten pups two days after she arrived in Yappy’s care last January! Nine of the ten pups will take part in the parade with their owners (the tenth lives too far away to attend), so this will be a very emotional reunion celebrating one of Yappy’s most memorable rescues ever.
A variety of craft stalls, a Hot Dog stand and cake stall will be set up too in addition to the Tombola and Raffle with too many prizes to mention thanks to the huge generosity of local suppliers including a Pawprints Pet Portrait, Durham Ox voucher and a variety of beauty treatments.
Shipley Woodside Community Garden have offered their beautiful oasis free of charge to host the event. Just goes to show how much love there is for this wonderful charity with many dogs fostered and adopted in the Ilkeston area. Plenty to keep kids entertained too with traditional games, story telling and headstocks fun.
The Yappy Ever After Fun Dog Show will be staged on Saturday 19 August from 10.30am – 4pm at the Shipley Woodside Community Garden (next to the old American Adventure entrance on Heanor Road).
