Scouts at camp
Members of the 1st Sitwell (Horsley Woodhouse) Scout Group celebrated their tenth birthday with a weekend camp at the Oaks Scout Campsite in Loughborough recently.
Seventy-five young people
Activities included rifle shooting. tomahawks, jungle trail, crossbows, climbing, bouldering wall, black hole, archery and mountain boarding. All were enjoyed in the sunshine.
The group restarted in September 2013 with the revival of the Cub section. Older age groups followed and the latest addition is the Squirrel section for 4 to 6 year olds.
The scout hut is now used by 125 members every week.
The group is appreciative of the leaders who give their time so that scouting can happen.
