Canal Vue Care Home celebrates an amazing effort in the Cancer Research Race for Life

The incredible team at Canal Vue Care Home in Ilkeston has triumphed in the Cancer Research Race for Life, raising an astounding sum of over £1000 in support of vital cancer research.
The running team was made up of Fran Elverstone – Assistant Manager, Lisa Capill – Night Senior Care Assistant, Hannah Wesson – Head Of Care, Kayleigh Parry-Callaghan – Senior Care Assistant, Emma Froggatt – Senior Care Assistant and Imogen Balmforth – Senior Care Assistant.
Their incredible power of teamwork and compassion from the team embraced this opportunity igniting an incredible flame of determination and community spirit. Their mission: to make a lasting impact on their community and to show their unwavering support for cancer research.
Clad in their vibrant and distinctive race T-shirts, the team from Canal Vue Care Home radiated positivity and determination as they took to the racecourse. Their smiles and high spirits were infectious, creating an electric atmosphere as they embarked on their mission to conquer the course while raising funds and spreading awareness.
Rachel Hammond, Manager at Canal Vue Care Home says: “What a team! I just want to say thank you to everyone who joined me on this muddy but fun day with unwavering commitment to make a difference. Together, we can make a lasting impact on the lives of those affected by this disease and should be very proud that every step taken brought us closer to our target and beyond what we wanted to raise.”
