Football fan has ‘life threatening injuries’

Derbyshire police are appealing for information after an Ilkeston man was found with severe injuries on Heathfield Avenue.
The man is said to have returned from the Nottingham Forest v Leeds United match on Sunday (5th February) by bus.
It is believed he got off near the Tesco shop on Nottingham Road shortly after 7pm.
He was later found unconscious on Heathfield Avenue and taken to the QMC, Nottingham with ‘life threatening injuries’.
Police say it is unclear how the man, in his sixties, came to be hurt so badly.
His family have been informed, and there has been an increased police presence in the area today.
