Opticians puts foodbank in the frame

An Ilkeston opticians has been bowled over with donations to support the Arena Community Foodbank.
Specsavers on Bath Street in Ilkeston asked customers to drop off non-perishable items in store, which, together with donations from the store’s colleagues, will be distributed to local families in need on behalf of Arena Community Foodbank.
‘We want to say a big thank you to everyone who made a donation,’ comments Specsavers Ilkeston store manager, Chris Costa. ‘We know that the cost of living crisis is impacting so many of us, so to still receive so many donations was especially heart-warming.’
