⚠️ Announcements at Ilkeston Station ⚠️

I’ve had a number of residents raise concerns about the lack of announcements at ilkeston station, both for stopping services and trains passing through.

The announcements help passengers with visual impairments to get their train information but also warn the public when trains such as freight trains or non stopping services are passing through and to stand back from the platform.

I’ve been in communication with the head of stations at East Midlands Railway who manage the station to try and rectify the issue. In the meantime if anyone wants to raise any specific concerns about the issue or difficulties you’ve had then please get in touch and I will pass onto EMR
