This summer, for the first time in a very long while, the 21st Ilkeston Scout Group went away on camp as a group.
Sixty-one members of the group took part at Sherbrooke, Calverton.
The Beavers and Cubs were inside whilst the Scouts camped out, using the new tents bought via funding from The Big Kirk Hallam Community Chest.
Activities included grass sledging, go-carting, archery, sports and camp fire.
The youngsters were really excited to be at camp – for lots of them this was their first camp and for some their first night away from their parents.
More about this and other Scout news in the August Ilkeston Life paper.
