This 1930s photo of the South Street/Wharncliffe Road corner was sent to us by Dave Clarke, who says: You can see the Co-op, the Bon-Bon shop, J Wright, hairdresser, people on the pavement and some at an upstairs window. I have no idea why this was taken or by whom, though my dad’s cousin Ken (Clarke) was a keen amateur photographer.
