Littlewick Health Centre issue scam alert

A doctors’ surgery has warned new patients about scam messages sent to their phones.
They say these offer checks of their medication and provide a link to use to get more information.
They are being sent to people who have recently moved from the health centre on South Street to the Littlewick practice on Nottingham Road, Ilkeston.
Littlewick Medical Centre said: “We have been made aware of a potential scam text being sent to patients who were previously registered with Dr Purnell’s surgery offering medication reviews and a follow-up link.
“Scam texts often include links which are untrustworthy. Do not click on it,” the medical centre added.
