WALKERS WARMED

Shipley Women’s Institute held a Soup and Pancake Day at the Parish Hall last Saturday.

The event was well attended mainly by walkers and bird watchers on their way into Shipley Park.
Glenys Stevenson of the group told us: “We provided pancakes and a selection of soups – no charge but donations appreciated.
“We also had a craft stall with items made by our members.
“Over £200 was raised which is to be used towards the funding of a bench for the disabled in the Shipley Eco Action Group Community Garden on Hassock Lane, Shipley.
“We would like to thank everyone for their continued support and donations.”
