Annual Civic Service
Local residents can join the Mayor of Erewash, Councillor Donna Briggs, when she hosts Erewash Borough Council’s Annual Civic Service on Sunday 27 March at All Saints’ Church, Sawley.
The service will begin at 10.30am with the Mayor’s Chaplain the Reverend Tony Street, along with the Right Reverend the Bishop of Derby, Libby Lane, taking the service. Anyone attending is asked to be seated by 10.15am at the church.
The theme of the service is ‘being there for others’, something which has been very evident during the pandemic.
Councillor Donna Briggs, the Mayor of Erewash, says:
“I am honoured to serve as the Mayor of Erewash and I am so pleased that our borough’s Civic Service is able to return this year following the pandemic. I look forward with pride to this service and will be delighted to welcome members of the community to join me.”
