KIND CUTS
The owner of an Ilkeston barber shop is planning to open up a section of her premises for young people with special needs.
She told us: “I want to be totally inclusive by providing appointments for kids with special needs, autism and sensory processing issues at quiet times or in the evenings. I think this is a service that is missing in the area.”
Diane O’Hare of ‘No.96’ in Station Road added: “We haven’t been here very long. We are going to call the kids’ part Snippers and we are planning to open on 25th October for children of all ages and offering appointments out of hours for children with disabilities who prefer a quieter environment.
Prices are £10 for a child’s cut. The out of hours appointments will be £15. We offer a familiarisation appointment prior to this for free.”
