A masked gang forced their way into a Sawley house and attacked a man inside.

They took cash before leaving the home shortly after 9pm on Sunday August 15.

The victim needed hospital care and police are seeking help in catching the offenders. There were up to four men who were wearing masks.

After getting in, they demanded money and the man was harmed. Police have classed the offence as an “aggravated burglary.”

It took place in Tamworth Road, Sawley. Derbyshire police are keen to hear from anyone who around Tamworth Road or Wilne Road.

They are particularly eager to receive dashcam footage from any vehicles in the area.
