This is very sad. I’m not blaming the council. It’s just very disappointing we have people misusing public toilets. We don’t have enough public toilets and they are essential for lots of people.

Erewash Borough Council have temporarily closed all of its public toilet sites in Long Eaton with immediate effect (August 20) due to anti-social behaviour.

The decision was made following complaints from the public which included the discovery of used hypodermic needles, masks being discarded in toilets and the unhygienic state of cubicles.
