Chaucer class’s visit to Canal Vue.

What a wonderful morning. Myself and Miss Oldnall’s Year 6 group have been to spread some love and happiness at Canal Vue Care Home. The residents were thrilled to see the children as we waved and shared messages from outside. We took them some treats including mince pies for them to enjoy and also some colouring sheets for a competition. We’re going back to collect the sheets next week and pick a winner. We also got a special song played for us by resident MJ and sang by activity coordinator Naomi, it was brilliant (Video to follow). I also had some spring bulbs so we took these with us to plant in their lovely garden. Hopefully the residents will have a beautiful display to enjoy next spring. It was so nice to meet the residents from afar and we hope that they are to able to meet their families again really soon. Thank you to Naomi for showing us around.
We were so proud of all the children for showing their kindness and respect to all the residents we met. Mrs Wheatley ❤️ #LoveOurCommunity
