Stanley Common C of E Primary School – Service of Remembrance
The children from Stanley Common C of E Primary School have been busy this week completing work in school to help them to understand the history and context of Armistice Day. To mark the 2-minute silence, on Wednesday at 11:00, the children assembled in the grounds of All Saints Church where wreaths and artwork made by the children were laid. The wreaths made by children in Year 3 and 4 are now part of a display created by one of the Church’s neighbours. After returning to school, the children took part in a pre-recorded virtual service created by the children Year 5 and 6.
