The family of Frank Whitham have informed us of his passing.
Frank Whitham passed away on Friday 18th September 2020 after a long battle with cancer. He was given 18 months to live but put up a fight for 8 years.
He lived in Ilkeston most of his life; in his younger days he worked at Trent Buses depot in the town.
We're told he lived in Ilkeston in the 1970s, moved away in 1990 and returned in 1994 till present. He would often talk to a lot of people he knew in Ilkeston. His family would like to inform people who may have known him that he passed away.
He used to help out at a local social club for adults with learning and physical difficulties.
It is thought many people will recognise him from the photographs.
Frank's funeral will be held at Bramcote Crematorium on Tuesday 29th September at 10:15am
