Ilkeston man Andy Morley is raising money for TASC, The Ambulance Staff Charity by not having his hair cut until a cure/vaccine is found for Covid-19.
“With everything that is happening in the world and me being lucky enough to be able to work from home, I would like to give a little back where I can to those working on the ‘front line’, especially those heroes in the NHS and Ambulance Service,” he says.
“My good friend Keith Dolby who works as a technician in the Ambulance Service is the inspiration for the project.”
People can give via Andy’s online page: justgiving.com/fundraising/andy-morley10
Andy, who has been on BBC Radio Derby, is posting photos of his progress, so followers can see his hair and beard growing. The target is £1,500 and currently £325 has be given.
“They say there’s no hope of finding a vaccine soon,” Andy says, “so I’ll soon be known as the wild man of Ilkeston.”
