Children on TV
Children from Dallimore Primary and Nursery School, Kirk Hallam appeared on TV’s Blue Peter this week.
Earlier they had helped to plant trees in the People’s Forest at Shipley Park in a bid to regenerate the area and encourage lots of wildlife in the future.
The Year 6 class had a full morning of planting in really cold conditions and whilst doing this the children were being filmed for an episode of the iconic CBBC show.
Member of staff Lucy Haywood said: “Each child who took part gained a Green badge. Everyone at the school was very proud. It was such a great experience for us all.
“We also had to say a massive thank you to Helen Mitcham who runs the Young People’s Forest for letting us be a part of this great experience.”
