Nominate your community champions
Erewash Borough Council is calling on its residents to nominate someone they admire for their valuable voluntary work in the borough. The popular Mayor’s Awards salute those who go the extra mile and deserve a pat on the back for their tireless work for the community.
Nominations are now open for the annual awards ahead of the closing date of Tuesday 7 April, with the presentation of awards due to take place on Wednesday 6 May.
The Mayor of Erewash, Councillor Sue Beardsley, says:
“This is a great chance to help us celebrate and recognise our community champions. We have many unsung heroes in our wonderful borough and I have seen first- hand the selfless work they do to help others. The presentation of the awards will be one of my final civic duties and I know it will be a very moving event.”
Please note that serving councillors of the county, borough, parish councils or their employees are exempt from nomination.
