Local print manager digs in
The Woodland Trust is the largest woodland conservation charity in the United Kingdom concerned with the creation, protection, and restoration of native woodland heritage. It has planted over 43 million trees since 1972.
Local company Moorleys Print and Publishing supports the Woodland Trust by using recycled paper where possible and planting TREES for the future.
Last week Patrick Mancini, Moorleys Managing Director, spent a full day planting trees with 300 volunteers.
“This is all part of our continued commitment to support the Woodland Trust,” he said. “In one day approximately 13,000 trees were planted under the watchful eye of the Woodland Trust. The site was an ex-open cast mining area on the outskirts of Shipley Park.
“It was a great day and everyone got stuck in. At one point the Trust had to fetch another 5,000 trees because we had far exceeded their expectations.”
