There has been an increase of Goldfinches nationally over the past few years. We often hear them in the garden twittering away before coming to feed on the 'Niger Seed' which is their preferred treat. I was lucky to catch a glimpse of quite a large group recently. A flock of Goldfinches is called a 'Charm' very appropriate for this lovely little finch.
