PRESS RELEASE – Maggie launches Door Safety Card initiative
As part of her commitment to tackling crime and anti-social behaviour, Erewash MP Maggie Throup has designed and produced 10,000 Door Safety Cards which residents can place on their door or in their window to help deter unwanted callers.
Building on the success of her ‘No Trick or Treat’ cards, Maggie’s new Door Safety Cards are free and available to collect from her Community Office (Unit 2 The Old Co-Op, Ilkeston, Derbyshire DE7 5SG), as well as from local libraries and the Town Halls.
Commenting on the initiative, Maggie said:
“My new Door Safety Cards build on a wider package of measures announced by our new Prime Minister Boris Johnson, including the recruitment of an additional 20,000 Police Officers to ensure that everyone feels safe in our local communities.
“I hope local residents in Erewash will find them useful to help deter unwanted doorstep callers.”
