The Arena Church kindly choose The Cedars and Larches care home in Ilkeston to work alongside as part of their annual “Community Serve Day”. .Pastor Phil Pye and Pastor Kristian Thorpe along with members and friends of church came along Saturday 13th July to brighten up the gardens, varnish furniture and pot plants.The morning started off with a light breakfast and cups of tea before the work began. Work continued in the gardens throughout the day; the team were very busy and amazing progress was made enhancing the gardens for the benefits of the care homes’ residents, staff, families and friends. The Arena Church has worked with the home for about nine years providing church services , Christmas concerts and comfort to the residents.
